Sky Hopper
Sky Hopper is a one-button flying game in the Flappy Bird style: tap to flap, and guide a small round bird through the gaps in an endless row of stone pillars. Gravity pulls it down the moment you stop tapping, so every flap counts. It plays in any browser, needs only one finger or the Space bar, and remembers your best score.
Sky Hopper Rules
Press Play, then tap the game area, click, or press Space (or the Up arrow) to flap. The bird hovers until your first flap; after that it falls under gravity, and each flap gives it a quick upward boost.
Fly through the gap between each pair of pillars. You score one point for every pillar you pass. Hitting a pillar or the ground ends the run; the top of the screen is a soft ceiling that stops you without ending the game.
The gaps start wide and narrow a little with each point, while the pillars scroll a little faster, until both level off at about 35 points. Gap heights shift from pillar to pillar but never further than a bird can reach. Your best score is saved in your browser, and the game pauses if you switch tabs or press P.
Sky Hopper Strategy & Tips
Find a steady rhythm
Level flight comes from evenly spaced taps, not from bursts. Practice holding the bird at one height in the first gap, and you'll find most of the game is just that rhythm, shifted up or down.
Aim for the lower half of the gap
A flap always pushes the bird up, so entering a gap low leaves room to flap without hitting the top pillar. Approaching high leaves you nowhere to go but down.
Look one pillar ahead
As soon as you're inside a gap, look at the next one. If it's much higher, start climbing as you leave; if it's lower, let gravity do the work and save your taps.
Don't over-correct
Most crashes come from a panicked double-tap that throws the bird into the top pillar. If you're slightly off, one calm flap usually fixes it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Sky Hopper the same as Flappy Bird?
It's an original game in the same one-tap style that Flappy Bird made famous in 2013, with its own bird, pillars, and difficulty curve. The goal is the same: flap through as many gaps as you can.
How do I play on my phone?
Tap anywhere on the game area to flap. The page won't scroll or zoom while you tap, and the play area fits portrait screens.
Does Sky Hopper get harder?
Yes, gradually. Each point makes the gaps slightly tighter and the pillars slightly faster, up to about 35 points, after which the difficulty holds steady and it's all about consistency.
Is my high score saved?
Your best score is stored in your browser on this device, so it's still there next time you visit. Clearing your browser data resets it.
