Dino Runner

Dino Runner is an endless runner in the spirit of the offline dinosaur game made famous by Google Chrome. Your little dinosaur runs on its own; your job is to time jumps over cacti and ducks under swooping flying reptiles while the pace keeps rising. It runs in any browser, keeps your best score, and has big Jump and Duck buttons for phones.

Dino Runner Rules

Press Run (or Space) to start. The dinosaur runs to the right automatically. Jump with Space, the Up arrow, or W — or tap the game area or the Jump button on a phone. Tap for a short hop, or hold the key or button for a full-height jump.

Duck with the Down arrow or S, by holding the Duck button, or by swiping down on the game area. Ducking while you're in the air pulls the dinosaur back to the ground faster. Cacti come in small and large clusters of one to three; after 250 points, flying reptiles appear at three heights — jump over low ones, duck under the middle ones, and keep running under the high ones.

Your score climbs with distance, and the running speed rises steadily for about a minute before it levels off. Touching any obstacle ends the run. Your best score is saved in your browser, and the game pauses if you switch tabs or press P.

Dino Runner Strategy & Tips

Jump late, not early

The most common crash is jumping too soon and landing on the cactus. Wait until the obstacle is roughly one dinosaur-length away, then jump — and as the game speeds up, start that jump a touch earlier.

Use short hops for single cacti

A quick tap gives a low hop that clears small cacti and gets you back on the ground sooner, ready for the next obstacle. Save the full held jump for wide clusters of three and tall cacti.

Duck to cancel a jump

If you jump too early, press Duck in mid-air to drop back down quickly, then jump again. This fast-fall is also the fix when a flying reptile appears right after a cactus.

Read the reptile's height

Low flyers are cleared with a jump, middle flyers need a duck, and high flyers pass over a dinosaur that simply keeps running. Doing nothing is the right answer more often than you'd think.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the Chrome dinosaur game?

It's an original game inspired by the same idea — an endless runner with a dinosaur dodging cacti and flying creatures. You can play it any time, online, on any device, with no need to disconnect from the internet.

Can I play the dino game on my phone?

Yes. Tap the game area or the Jump button to jump, and hold the Duck button (or swipe down) to duck. The page won't scroll while you play, and the game area fits portrait screens.

Is Dino Runner unblocked?

Dino Runner is a lightweight page with no downloads, plugins, or pop-ups — it's just a small script that runs in the browser tab. Whether a particular school or work network allows the site is up to that network's settings.

Does the game get harder?

Yes. The running speed increases steadily for roughly the first minute, the gaps between obstacles scale with that speed, larger cactus clusters appear, and flying reptiles join in after 250 points.
